It has been a busy and happening week in the EMS Blogosphere! While there are a lot of great posts there was one item that made me smile both on the inside and on the outside… BEFORE my ice coffee! Those of you who know me realize how RARE that is… as in it just doesn’t happen. Ever.
So that one item is in this week’s edition, but I’m not going to tell you which one it is… you’ll just have to click through and read some high quality blogs to figure it out…
- Jim Hoffman held the discussion asking if drug shortages really affect EMS, and you may be very surprised by the answer so give the episode of EMS Office Hours a listen…
- TOTWTYTR highlights a story about how the CDC found that estimates of a flu hazard were inflated. With flu season coming up, it’s definitely something to think about…
- Medic Trommashere teamed up with Chris Kaiser to highlight what causes teardrops to fall upon trauma shears and one method to shine through the sadness. Both posts aren’t just must READS, they are must SHARES…
- Greg Friese has a great interview with Kelly Grayson, the author of En Route: A Paramedic’s Stories of Life, Death, and Everything In Between. Kelly also blogs at A Day In The Life Of An Ambulance Driver and considering the number of comments he receives on his posts, is THE MOST POPULAR BLOGGER ON FACEBOOK! Well, at least to the blogosphere challenged…
- The main event at Rogue Medic this week pits Helicopter Crashes vs. Ambulance Crashes. I’m putting an Abe Lincoln on the diesel burners…
- Burned Out Medic highlights some of the newer services provided by 911. Personally, I’m all about the s’mores…
- A big congratulations to Epi-Junky who recently joined the FireEMSBlogs.com Network as their first female EMS blogger! It’s well deserved and a very long time coming…
- Lizzie has published the 18th Edition of The Handover featuring some great free education for those just starting out in the field. Her topic was a great reminder of what it was like to be so young…
- Hybrid Medic shares a very honest and realistic view of what you can expect in medic school and shares some key tips and resources to help you make it through. By following his advice soon enough the student will become the master…
- Justin “Happy Medic” Schorr celebrated his 2nd Blogiversary! Woo-hoo!!! And to prove that age hasn’t mellowed him a bit he kicked off his third year challenging the value of letters that so many hold in high esteem. Hear Happy rawr…
And finally…
- I would be remiss not to point out that Steve Whitehead has the August Roundup posted with even more great EMS goodness! Now I’m off to go buy that gray guitar…
Have a safe weekend!
And when everybody loves you…you will never be lonely.
Thanks for including my blog in the list this week!
P.S. If my post reminds you of what it’s like to be “SO” young, how about some friendly advice on what it’s like to be “SO” old? 😉
